Education
Glory Fellowship Baptist Church Uganda was established in the village in 2014. The church has become a center of activities in the village. The church has Bible study, prayer, and worship services. Discipleship is very important; last year 27 people were baptized.
A second branch of the church has been planted near the business district of Kamengo. Four other churches have been started near the equator and in Kampala.
We have also been able to hold a pastor training conference for over 50 pastors in the area.
In the future we hope to continue to train pastors in the area, in order to spread the Gospel and disciple others.
Currently we are transporting patients from the village to nearby clinics for treatment. We also supply all of the expectant mothers with birthing kits.
A community garden helps supply vegetables to the village and offers extra income. A livestock sharing program has also been created.
A second well has been dug on the school and church property to provide the community with a better water source.
A water delivery program provides clean water to the elderly.
We have been able to hold medical clinics in the village and hope to hold more in the future.
We also plan to expand the agriculture programs.
God's Mercy Kindergarten and Primary School provides educational services for children pre-school through P7. We are currently educating 250+ students.
There are currently 42 students that have graduated from God's Mercy and are sponsored in secondary school. There are also 4 students attending university.
We would like to provide vocational training programs for those seeking new career opportunities.
We have been able to build a new kitchen where meals for our students and staff can be more easily prepared.
Our next project is the construction of an additional building that would provide much needed classroom space along with a library.
